若非隐秘公司的存在,该地区的精英们将难以把这些资金转移至海外。这一体系使腐败者得以维持权力,使贫困公民继续贫困,并最终对全球稳定构成真实威胁。

正因如此,正如女王所宣布的,大卫·卡梅伦打算建立一个公开的英国公司真实拥有者和控制者登记册,这符合英国的国家利益。这意味着建立一个包含大量优质公司所有者信息的完善登记册。包括董事协会在内的商业团体对此表示支持。
