与情绪和解

在比赛前感到紧张、大胜后欣喜若狂、惨败后心碎不已,这些都是再正常不过的情绪体验。通过练习,你可以学会在内心的宁静中安住,静静观察情绪的潮起潮落。你可以学会将赛前的心跳加速和躁动不安,识别为身体已做好准备、蓄势待发的信号。你可以享受胜利后的亢奋,也可以接纳失败后的低落,将它们视为短暂的过客。

这并不意味着在你并不平静、并不好受时假装无事。恰恰相反,建议是:以善意和好奇心去承接竞争中的强烈体验,学会从你内心深处那片宁静的本质出发来观察它们。正念导师佩玛·丘卓邀请我们探索这种与情绪相处的有力方式:

“勇士修炼的核心问题,不在于如何回避不确定性与恐惧,而在于我们如何与不适相处。我们如何在困境中修行,如何与自己的情绪共处,如何应对平凡日子里那些难以预料的际遇?”

大多数焦虑源于对未来的忧虑——我们对训练、选拔或比赛将如何进行的幻想或噩梦。而大多数抑郁则与对过去事件的负面回溯有关。所以,当你被强烈的情绪淹没时,请深呼吸,感受双脚踏在地面上的踏实感,回到当下这一刻,单纯地允许情绪存在,不试图改变它、修复它,也不试图摆脱它。

有一次,我为青少年和家长举办正念入门讲座,一位妈妈举手说道:”我是一个容易焦虑的人,我的两个孩子也都很焦虑,我们深受严重焦虑之苦……”她滔滔不绝,在场的每个人也随之越来越焦虑。等她说完,我只是平静地说:”你知道吗,感到焦虑是没关系的,对吧?”

话音刚落,室内焦虑的气氛瞬间消散。那位女士和她的孩子们明显地放松了下来,整个人都柔软了。他们真正领悟到——感到焦虑是没关系的,他们可以以善意和好奇心接纳自己的焦虑。在她生命中的某个时刻,她曾被告知,或者自己认定,她和孩子不应该焦虑,必须做些什么、改变什么、修正什么。从那一刻起,她便开始为自己的焦虑而焦虑。我的那句话,打开了一种新的可能:只是安住于内心的宁静,观察焦虑,任由它存在,不去抗拒,也不觉得有什么不对——也就是说,她意识到,她可以拥有焦虑,而不是被焦虑所拥有。

感到焦虑没关系,感到压力、抑郁、兴奋、嫉妒、欣喜若狂、愤怒,同样也没关系。听听曾参加环法自行车赛的职业车手安德鲁·塔兰斯基是如何看待恐惧的:

“我开始拥抱恐惧。你可能不常听到运动员这样说,但我们都会感到恐惧。如果你从不恐惧,那你很可能根本没有在挑战自己的极限。我逐渐意识到,恐惧永远不会消失——对失败的恐惧,对无法实现目标的恐惧,对倾尽全力却仍旧功亏一篑的恐惧。那大概是我最深的恐惧。而我所领悟到的是:那些恐惧不需要消失,也不需要被屏蔽。”
